Trans Friendly Bathrooms @ ADSS in Port Alberni

Parent Alert!

My son’s school is ADSS in Port Alberni. They had any sex designated bath and change rooms for the kids with gender dysphoria but that wasn’t good enough. Every single bath and change room is now open to them. The comfort of every other student is forgotten so this fringe group can be comfortable. I am a little upset about it.

A girl took down the signs designating all the bathrooms as transgender friendly in protest and got expelled. The principal said she could come back if she apologized but she refused and said she would wait to come back until they had a bathroom she felt safe to use.

I just don’t understand in such a large school with so many bathrooms why gender confused boys and girls need access to EVERY single bathroom belonging to the opposite sex. Why couldn’t they just use the ones generously provided.

To be honest, I just try not to think about it most of the time. Its like the twilight zone to me. However looking away from a problem generally does the opposite of fixing it. So I will do what I can.

I will try to get you a copy of the letter they sent home to us but I do not have it here at the moment.

We need to teach our children to be brave like the girl who refused to accept this change that takes away her right to safe spaces.

Do you think a teenage boy would abuse this new freedom to be a voyeur?  (peek over the bathroom stall?)

We need to not wait till it is happening to our kids to do something about it! The time is now!

What can you do?

Schedule a meeting with the principal at your child(ren)‘s school to get a copy of the washroom / change room policy and to tell them your concern over the growing trend for gender neutral washrooms in public schools.

Get involved by attending PAC meetings.

Train your child(ren) in critical thinking so when their rights are being encroached upon by a minority they can be a loud voice against it.  Let them know that you will support them for taking a stand and that they can walk out of school if they are being taught SOGI.  That they can call you and you will back them up!

Consider pulling your child(ren) from public school.  Attend one of our Educational Choices info sessions.

Volunteer with us and join the team!
